This program examine the definitions of bullying and cyberbullying and the protections of children with disabilities under the IDEA. Parents of a child with a history of being bullied or conduct bullying are also encouraged to attend. We will discuss the appropriate measures on how to effectively communicate acts of bullying with school teams to trigger a bullying investigation.

  • Attendees will learn to state definitions of bullying and cyberbullying.
  • Attendees will explain how to file a formal bullying complaint.
  • Attendees will explain the implications and protections afforded to children with disabilities under the IDEA that are bullied.
  • Attendees will identify when to include additional supports within the IEP in response to bullying.
