The Positive Classroom

A positive classroom environment is not only important for promoting learning but is also considered to be the most important component of a classroom behavior management program. Throughout this book, various positive classrooms strategies are described for pre-school through high school, and for special and regular education classrooms. It provides teachers—and those who consult with teachers—various means of preventing and reducing the occurrence of inappropriate behavior, including bullying, without using punitive methods that can interfere with learning. And, most importantly, it provides several easy-to-implement positive strategies for teaching youngsters academic and appropriate social behaviors.
