Behaviour analysts (particularly novice practitioners are often prone to burnout (Plantiveau, Dounavi, & Virués-Ortega, 2018). This webinar will provide an in depth exploration of the definition, prevalence and consequences of burnout in the behaviour analytic field. We will review the relationship between job demands, resources, expectations and their direct correlation to burnout. This presentation will also address the importance of self-care and how behaviour analysts can actively implement self-care strategies to combat burnout. The webinar will also provide recommendations on how to incorporate self-care strategies to prevent and reduce burnout into daily practice.  .
