You must achieve at least 85% correct on the test to be awarded CE credits. This course allows for three opportunities to meet criterion.  If 85% correct is not achieved by the third attempt, another attempt cannot be made for 2 days. Please note that there is a 16 minute limit to complete the exam per attempt. Three attempts are available to obtain a minimum of 85% correct.  Unlike our other courses this is NOT a fluency-based exercise.

 

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • discuss three reasons why obtaining reearch participant assent is important.
  • list crucial considerations for obtaining assent from individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilties.
  • identify potential strategies for obtaiing assent from individuals with cognitive limitations and/or skill deficiencies.
