As clinicians, it is our ethical duty to provide the best and effective treatment for the learners we work  with. However it is also imperative that we also strive to build positive and long-lasting relationships  with their caregivers, family members and their support system. Clinicians often report that they  struggle with parental nonadherence when providing Caregiver Consultation and that children often  succeed with their direct therapist but struggle to generalize these skills outside of sessions. In this  webinar, we will review current research that evaluates how to effectively train caregivers how to carry  out and effectively implement behaviour analytic procedures. This training will also discuss strategies on  how to effectively build long-lasting relationships and rapport with the caregivers and how to gain  parent-buy in. We will review and identify current barriers to effectively consulting with caregivers and  strategies to overcome them. Participants will also learn about the various cultural factors that can  impact Caregiver Training and how to implement services that are Culturally Responsive and meet the  unique needs of the families we serve.
